About me

I started my professional career working for some of the biggest studios in Hollywood on everything from sitcoms on network television, to action packed movie franchises on the big screen. I helped bring happiness, laughter and excitement to people’s lives through the power of entertainment. Then one day I realized that there was something else I could offer the world that was far more personal, and in some circles, much more exciting than a popcorn session; Portuguese wine.

Looking back at the film that was my life, I noticed that wine was always in the background; an ever present part of every day life, celebrations, visits from friends and neighbors, and in every moment of our lives throughout the years. Wine in our family isn’t just something to have on the dinner table, it is an integral fiber in the fabric of our lives.  

For decades, my grandfather’s tavern in the small village of Arcos in Northern Portugal was a literal “Cheers” where all the village folk gathered after a long day of work in the country side to share in a glass of wine. To follow in those footsteps, my own father decided to go into the trade as a way to help me and my brother through college. He has been a retailer serving the NY market ever since.

Wine is in my DNA, my roots, my life. Wine IS my heritage, and it is my heart’s mission to bring delicious Portuguese wines to the table of today’s wine enthusiasts and lovers.
